China Southern and IndiGo sign MOU to codeshare

China Southern Airlines (CSA) and IndiGo have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to codeshare on each other’s flights and explore other areas of potential cooperation. Read More » The agreement was announced on the same day IndiGo resumed flying between Delhi and Guangzhou. The potential codeshare agreement, which required regulatory approval, covered both airlines’ flights between India and Mainland China, with more details to be announced later, the pair said in a joint statement. "With this partnership, our joint customers will get the added convenience of booking seamlessly for travel across various parts of India and China on the joint network of IndiGo and China Southern Airlines," IndiGo CEO, Pieter Elbers, said. CSA CEO, Han Wensheng, said, "China Southern Airlines highly values the development potential of the Indian market. Through cooperation with IndiGo, we will be able to further leverage each other’s advantages, offer a wider range of travel products, and give new momentum to the economic, cultural and aviation exchanges between the two countries."
