November 12th 2025
Garuda Indonesia is raising 23.7 trillion rupiah (US$1.4 billion) in fresh capital from Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund, PT Danantara Asset Management (DAM), to improve its balance sheet, fund the maintenance and repair of grounded aircraft and ensure the ongoing operations of its LCC unit, Citilink. Read More » The support from DAM comprised a cash injection of 17 trillion rupiah and a shareholder loan conversion of 6.7 trillion rupiah, Garuda said in a regulatory filing. The company said the proceeds from DAM were expected to have a positive impact on its financial position by increasing equity, strengthening its capital structure and supporting the ongoing sustainability of the airline group and its subsidiaries. The US$1.4 billion figure is less than the proposed US$1.8 billion raising from DAM Garuda previously announced in early October.
