Boeing posts return to profit in 2025

Boeing has reported net profit of US$2.2 billion for the 12 months to December 31 2025, compared with a net loss of US$11.8 billion in 2024. Read More » Revenue rose 34% to US$89.5 billion, Boeing said in a regulatory filing. "We made significant progress on our recovery in 2025 and have set the foundation to keep our momentum going in the year ahead," Boeing CEO, Kelly Ortberg, said. "We completed the acquisition of Spirit AeroSystems and the sale of portions of the Digital Aviation Solutions business and remain focused on promoting stable operations, completing our development programs, rebuilding trust with our stakeholders, and fully restoring Boeing to the iconic company we all know it can be." Boeing’s commercial airplanes unit lifted aircraft deliveries by 72% to 600 in 2025, which supported an 82% lift in revenue in this unit to US$41.5 billion amid higher deliveries and improved operational performance. The company said it "still anticipates first delivery" of its much delayed 777-X program in 2027. It also confirmed production of the 737 MAX had increased to 42 aircraft a month at the end of last year.
