Jetstar upgauges Brisbane-Canberra route

Jetstar Airways is adding more seats on the Brisbane-Canberra route by upgauging the service to 232-seat A321LRs between April and October this year. Read More » The aircraft change by the Qantas Group LCC represents an increase of 52 seats from the A320s flying on the route today. "Canberrans and visitors to the region have embraced our low fares and we’re pleased to bring our larger A321LR aircraft to the nation’s capital for the first time," Jetstar CEO, Stephanie Tully, said. Jetstar is one of three airlines flying nonstop between Brisbane and Canberra alongside Qantas’s regional wing, QantasLink, and Virgin Australia. "This additional capacity not only helps keep fares competitive, but it also gives passengers the chance to travel on Jetstar’s new aircraft, offering a more comfortable experience on one of our busiest routes," Canberra Airport CEO, Stephen Byron, said.
