Japan Airlines boosts capacity to Hawaii

Japan Airlines (JAL) has added more seats to Honolulu in Hawaii by scheduling extra services at peak travel times and upgauging some flights in response to expected high demand. Read More » The supplementary services are scheduled to operate during Japan’s Golden Week holidays from April 24 to May 9 and the week of the Honolulu marathon between December 11 and December 15. In a further capacity boost, JAL has scheduled the 777-300ER to operate select flights on Tokyo Haneda-Honolulu over the busy end-of-year travel period between December 25 2026 and January 10 2027 in place of the 787-9s which usually fly the route. More broadly, the oneworld alliance member said its total international flight operations for the next fiscal year - which runs from April 1 to March 31 - was up 1% compared with the current year. "JAL will continue to create social and economic value by fostering relationships and connections through air travel, providing a route network that meets the evolving needs of our customers," JAL said.
