Malaysia-headquartered AirBorneo has ordered five ATR 72-600s and three 42-600s to be delivered between 2027 and 2029, as well as purchase rights for a further four turboprops. The aircraft have been earmarked to operate the regional airline’s rural air services routes in the East Malaysia states of Sabah and Sarawak and replace its existing eight ATR 72-500 aircraft. "This partnership with ATR marks a major milestone in AirBorneo’s commitment to delivering reliable, safe and modern air services for the communities we serve," AirBorneo CEO, Megat Ardian, said. "The ATR platform has consistently proven to be the most suitable aircraft for our operating environment, and upgrading to the latest -600 series ensures we can continue providing essential connectivity while preparing AirBorneo for long-term growth." ATR CEO, Nathalie Tarnaud Laude, said: "AirBorneo’s decision to invest in both the ATR 72-600 and ATR 42-600 reflects the strength and versatility of the ATR family and its suitability for demanding regional operations."

Cebu Pacific has extended its training services agreement with CAE covering the A320 and ATR 72-600 aircraft.

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, has signed a contract renewal with All Nippon Airways (ANA) to provide maintenance support services for the Japanese carrier’s Boeing fleet and De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400s. The company has also signed a three-year extension with ANA covering maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services on accessories such as electronic controllers, hydromechanical units, fuel pump systems and variable stator vane actuators on the airline’s fleet of 787s powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines.

Still with Collins Aerospace, the company has also signed a five-year contract extension with Singapore Airlines for maintenance support services on the 777 passenger and cargo fleet.

Air Cambodia has confirmed an order for 10 737 MAX 8, as well as the "opportunity" to order up to 10 more of the type, from Boeing. The order was previously listed in Boeing’s orders and deliveries website as from an unidentified customer. "The 737 MAX will be the first Boeing airplanes operated by a Cambodian airline," Boeing said. Delivery dates were not disclosed. "The 737-8 gives Air Cambodia the ideal combination of range, capacity and fuel efficiency to support our next phase of growth," Air Cambodia CEO, doctor David Zhan, said. "This investment - Air Cambodia’s largest narrowbody purchase - will let us launch direct services to important markets across North and Southeast Asia, and offer competitively priced travel for passengers, while creating local jobs and training opportunities that strengthen our communities."

Singapore Deputy Prime Minister, Gan Kim Yong, told delegates at the opening ceremony aerospace was one of the country’s strongest growth sectors, having expanded by about 20% since 2024. "Since the last airshow, we have attracted more than S$750 million (US$590 million) in investment commitments across aerospace manufacturing, MRO and aftermarket services," Gan said in prepared remarks. "This is expected to create close to 600 good jobs over the next five years. More will be announced subsequently."

Virgin Australia (VA) has signed a long-term agreement with Embraer to install a predictive maintenance tool - the Aircraft Health Analysis and Diagnosis (AHEAD) system - on board its E2 fleet. The Australian carrier currently has two E190-E2s in its fleet operated by its Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) unit, from a firm order for eight of the type. "The AHEAD tool will help us stay in front of maintenance issues, ensuring we are getting the very best out of our new aircraft and helping us strengthen operational performance across our network," VARA executive general manager, Nathan Miller said. Embraer Services and Support CEO, Carlos Naufel, said: "By integrating the AHEAD platform into the E2 fleet, we are enabling predictive maintenance that reduces unscheduled downtime, optimizes operational efficiency, and lowers maintenance costs."
