JAL net profit rises by a quarter through nine months of fiscal year

JAL Group has reported net profit of 113.7 billion yen (US$729 million) for the nine months to December 31 2025, up 24.9% from 91 billion yen in the prior corresponding period. Read More » Revenue rose 9.2% to 1.5 trillion yen, the parent company of Japan Airlines, ZIPAIR Tokyo and Jetstar Japan said in a regulatory filing. JAL said revenue and earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) reached their highest levels at the end of the third quarter of its full fiscal year since it came out of bankruptcy and relisted on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2011. The company said strong international passenger demand, flexible revenue management to grow domestic passenger numbers and the expansion of its freighter network supported the improved bottom line. JAL’s forecasts for the full financial year, which ends on March 31, were unchanged, with net profit expected to rise 7.4% to 115.5 billion yen and revenue expand 7.2% to 1.98 trillion yen.
