Japan Air Commuter orders two ATR72-600 aircraft

Japan Air Commuter (JAC) said it will introduce two additional ATR72-600 aircraft, equipped with 70 seats in the single-class configuration. Read More » The turboprop deliveries are scheduled for December 2026 and February 2027. The Aviation Wire reported that one of the two aircraft will be purchased using subsidies from the national government and Kagoshima Prefecture, where JAC is based. Currently, the Japan Airlines (JAL) Group’s regional carrier operates two ATR72-600s and nine ATR42-600s, each with 48 seats.
