Air China posts double-digit passenger growth for February

Air China flew 14.5 million passengers on its domestic, international and regional networks in February, up by 15.4% from the 12.6 million travellers it carried in the same month in 2025. Read More » In the reported 28 days, domestic passenger numbers flown were higher by 14.6%, at 12.4 million, international travellers rose 16.4% to 1.6 million and regional network flyers grew 35.1% to 471,700. The growth was underpinned by the traditionally busy Lunar New Year travel period, which fell in February this year, compared with January last year. The Star Alliance member’s capacity expanded 13.8% compared with 12 months ago and passenger load factor rose 3.8 percentage points to 85.9%. Air China’s fleet stood at 960 aircraft on February 28, unchanged from the end of January following the induction of one 737 family aircraft and withdrawal of one A320 family aircraft.
