China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings (CALC) has agreed to sell three lease-attached aircraft, comprising one A320neo and two 737-800s, to Mainland China-based JIC Leasing Co, with the transaction expected to complete by June 30 this year. "The transactions will increase the group’s net income from aircraft trading, satisfy the market’s demand for aircraft and maintain the good relationship between the group and its clients," CALC said in a regulatory filing.
Taiwan-headquartered China Airlines has launched a collaboration with Da-Wan Yakiniku featuring new seasonal menus for business, premium economy and economy cabins.
The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) has updated its "public key directory" (PKD) system, a secure international database for airlines, border authorities and other trusted parties to confirm a traveller’s electronic passport and digital travel documents are genuine. "Since its last update in 2015, the PKD has grown to include 107 of ICAO’s 193 member states," ICAO said. "With the system playing a central role in ICAO’s broader strategy to improve the accessibility of air transport, ICAO is advocating for all member states to join and fully use the PKD and is providing capacity-building support to ensure they are able to do so."
The Star Alliance airline marketing alliance has opened a connection centre at Los Angeles Airport to support passengers with tight connections make their flight. Los Angeles, which is served by 16 Star Alliance members, is the alliance’s ninth connection centre.
