First A350-1000ULR for Qantas rolls out with engines fitted ahead of ground and flight tests

Read More » The Australian carrier released images of the first A350-1000ULR, MSN707, on social media this week. The aircraft, which has two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines fitted featuring a red kangaroo on the engine cowling and specialised testing equipment in the cabin, was expected to start final ground checks shortly, followed by a two-month flight testing campaign in the coming weeks. "Its first test flight is just around the corner," Qantas said of the A350-1000ULR. "From next year, these aircraft will carry our customers non-stop from Sydney to London and New York for the first time ever - reducing flying time by up to four hours."
