April 23rd 2026
Taiwan’s EVA Airways is evaluating New Delhi, Boston, and Helsinki as potential next destinations as the carrier prepares to take delivery of additional aircraft. Read More » EVA Air’s president Clay Sun told Taiwan’s Central News Agency (CNA) a New Delhi route would mainly target passengers transiting through Taipei to North America, such as the large number of Indian students and the Indian talent in Silicon Valley. The Boston route will be launched after the carrier accepts at least three Airbus A350-1000, said Sun. The deliveries of the 24 ordered A350-1000s are planned to commence in the fourth quarter of 2027. Flights to Helsinki would depend on the end of the Russia-Ukraine war, he said. Once the airline’s freighter fleet is fully in place, EVA Air may consider resuming cargo routes to Europe, with Frankfurt as a likely destination, Sun added.
