In recent months, Singapore Airlines (SIA) has moved some of its employees to Air India, placing its executives in key roles across flight operations, engineering, and maintenance, as India’s flag carrier battles record losses and recent safety lapses, Bloomberg Markets reported. Read More » SIA is a minority shareholder in Air India. Tata Group, which owns 74.9% of Air India, is focusing on commercial, human resources, finance, and information technology functions, the sources told Bloomberg. The lack of visibility into when Air India can turn a profit is a growing concern for Singapore Airlines, the people said. The Economic Times reported that SIA CEO Goh Choon Phong and Tata Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran met in Mumbai last week to discuss a funding roadmap and the search for a new chief executive officer following Campbell Wilson’s resignation.
