Japan Airlines (JAL), through JAL Group’s entities JAL JTA Sales and JALUX, is partnering with Sakashita Suisan in Okinawa to deliver fresh, never-frozen tuna “nama maguro” (raw tuna) to mainland Japan. Read More » The tuna transported by air will be delivered to stores and consumers in the Tokyo metropolitan area and Nagoya within 24 hours, maintaining a high level of freshness. In the model, Sakashita Suisan is responsible for procuring the tuna, JAL CARGO organizes the transport, and the tuna is sold in Seijo Ishii stores, marked with the “Delivered from the Sky” logo. The sales started on April 10, 2026.
