SIA Group reports 5.2% passenger growth for May

"While capacity constraints through Middle East hubs persisted, they eased compared to previous months," SIA said in a regulatory filing. "Consequently, the SIA Group continued to benefit from spillover passenger traffic and cargo loads, albeit to a lesser extent." Singapore Airlines’ passenger load factor was down 0.6 of a percentage point at 84.6%, while passenger load factor at Scoot inched 0.2 of a percentage point higher to 91.2%. The group’s revenue passenger kilometres were up 4.9%, while capacity increased 5.3% in the month. SIA lifted its cargo capacity 1.3% in May, while the cargo load factor was up 0.9 of a percentage point at 58.1%.
