All Nippon Airways launches Japan’s first personal SAF program

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has launched a personal program for individual customers as part of its “SAF Flight Initiative” in addition to the existing corporate program. Read More » The scheme is designed to give customers a direct way to reduce aviation-related CO₂ emissions by using Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Using software developed by the Norwegian company Chooose AS, ANA customers can understand their personal flight-related emissions and purchase SAF environmental attributes that contribute to the decarbonization of aviation. Then “passengers can purchase SAF environmental attributes which contribute to aviation decarbonization by supporting ANA’s expanded use of SAF,” the company said. ANA will issue a purchase certificate showing the estimated CO₂ emissions reductions based on a purchase amount.
