Airbus reports 67 deliveries for July

Airbus delivered 67 commercial aircraft to 37 customers in July, bringing to 418 the total number of aircraft handed over to customers through the first seven months of this year. The airframer booked gross orders for 204 aircraft last month, underpinned by leasing company SMBC Aviation Capital putting pen to paper for 100 A320neo family aircraft, and Hainan Airlines’ order for 40 A320neo family aircraft. There was also an order from China Eastern Airlines for 25 A330-900s. Airbus total gross orders in the year to July stood at 1,090 aircraft. The number of cancellations rose by one in July to 66, leaving net orders at July 31 sitting at 1,024 aircraft.
