Korean Air headed to Hiroshima

Korean Air (KAL) is launching a new nonstop route linking Hiroshima in Japan with its Seoul Incheon hub on December 23. Read More » The daily service has been scheduled as a morning departure from Incheon and afternoon flight from Hiroshima with A321neo aircraft. Hiroshima, in western Japan, will be the Skyteam alliance member’s 15th destination in Japan. "The Hiroshima launch reflects the airline’s ongoing commitment to expanding connectivity across regional Japan," KAL said. "As the largest city in the Chugoku region, Hiroshima features a rich heritage of history, culture and natural scenery. Beyond tourism, Hiroshima is a key industrial hub, serving as home to Mazda Motor Corporation’s headquarters and manufacturing plants, a major Micron Technology semiconductor facility, and key operations for JFE Steel and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries." KAL will be the second airline flying between Hiroshima and Incheon alongside existing service from South Korea-based LCC, Jeju Air.
