IndiGo, TransNusa Airlines seek permission to fly to Philippines

India’s IndiGo applied for authority to operate scheduled international flights to the Philippines, according to a notice issued by the country’s Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB). Read More » Aviation Updates Philippines (AUP) reported that while the CAB notice did not specify the routes included in the application, IndiGo previously expressed interest in launching direct services to Manila and Cebu.
Another airline interested in entering the Philippines market is Indonesia’s TransNusa Airlines. The carrier filed an application for a Foreign Air Carrier Permit with CAB, and a hearing on TransNusa Airlines’ application is scheduled for September 22, 2026.
