Malaysia Aviation Group partners with ASEAN travel industry associations

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the parent of Malaysia Airlines and Firefly, has signed partnership agreements with travel industry bodies from Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand to promote travel through its Kuala Lumpur hub. Read More » The partnerships were announced this week at the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) travel fair. "At MAG, we believe the future of travel is shaped by strong partnerships and a shared regional vision," MAG chief commercial officer of airline business, Dersenish Aresandiran, said. "Bringing together leading travel associations from across ASEAN in this first-of-its-kind collaboration is a powerful demonstration of what we can achieve when the region comes together. We are building stronger connectivity, driving demand and opening new opportunities, with Kuala Lumpur firmly positioned as the gateway to Asia and beyond." The five industry associations comprise MATTA in Malaysia, National Association of Travel Agents Singapore, ASTINDO in Indonesia, the Thai International Travel Fair and Travel Innovators in the Philippines.
