China Eastern Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Shanghai) has opened a new maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) hangar at Lingang New Area Industrial Park, which sits next to Shanghai Pudong airport.

GE Aerospace has announced a proposed acquisition of engineered castings manufacturer, Consolidated Precision Products, for US$11.75 billion. The deal, which required regulatory approval, was expected to close in the second half of calendar 2027. "By combining GE Aerospace’s technology capabilities and FLIGHT DECK with CPP’s manufacturing experience we expect to expand capacity, improve performance and accelerate new engine technologies for the current fleet and next-generation platforms," GE Aerospace chair and CEO, Lawrence Culp Jr, said.
