Airbus has begun buying back 4.1 million shares on the open market as part of the company’s share buyback program. The company said the buyback - to be conducted between 11 September and 6 November - supported "future employee share ownership plan activities and equity-based compensation plans".
Vietjet has selected Thales to supply component maintenance services for the LCC’s fleet of A320 family and A330 family aircraft. The pair also signed a memorandum of understanding to work together on digital aviation, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
Still with Vietjet, the airline signed a letter of intent with CFM International to "assess the feasibility" for the company to develop its own engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities for LEAP engines in Vietnam.
