Air China posts 9.6% lift in passengers during August

Read More » During the reported 31 days, Air China grew domestic passengers 10.3% to 14.3 million, while its international network experienced 8.8% passenger growth to 1.9 million. By contrast, Air China’s regional network flyers fell 4.5% to 451,000. The Star Alliance member grew capacity 6.3% year-on-year in August, while demand, or revenue passenger kilometres, was 11.3% higher. Passenger load factor climbed 4 percentage points to 87.7%. Air China’s fleet stood at 976 aircraft on August 31, an increase of three from the end of July.
