AerCap Holdings is raising iUS$1.5 billion in fresh capital through the issuing of US$750 million in four-year senior notes with a coupon rate of 5.5% maturing in 2030 and US$750 million in seven-year notes with a coupon rate of 5.875% maturing in 2033. The net proceeds were for general corporate purposes, including to acquire, invest in, finance or refinance aircraft assets and to repay indebtedness, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Hebei Airlines has selected ST Engineering to provide performance restoration shop visit services on the CFM56-7B engines used on its 737-800 fleet. The two-year contract commenced this month, ST Engineering said in a regulatory filing, with the work being undertaken at its Xiamen facility.
Singapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited, a joint-venture business between Rolls-Royce and SIA Engineering Company, has signed memoranda of understanding with four Singapore-based education and research organisations - the Institute of Technical Education, Republic Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic and the A*STAR Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre - to work together to support training aviation engineers and other technical specialists. The partnerships include developing training modules, internships, traineeships, work-study programmes and hands-on industry experience.
Thai AirAsia X has announced it has received its International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) registration. The authorisation is valid until August 10 2028.
