Vietjet has expanded its Taiwan network with the start of nonstop flights to Tainan. Read More » The inaugural VJ1942 service, operated by A321 registration VN-A633, touched down in Tainan a little after 1100 local time yesterday (October 25), following its two-hour flight from Hanoi. The aircraft was on the ground for about an hour before operating the reciprocal VJ1943 back to Hanoi. Vietjet has scheduled four flights a week on the route. It is the only airline flying nonstop between Hanoi and Tainan. "Every new route connects more than two destinations on a map. It also opens up new opportunities for people, businesses and communities," Vietjet CEO, Nguyen Thanh Son, said. "We hope the Hanoi–Tainan route will become a lasting bridge, helping promote tourism, economic exchange and stronger community ties." Tainan is Vietjet’s fourth destination in Taiwan alongside Kaohsiung, Taichung and Taipei.
