Philippine Airlines to announce European destination?

Philippine Airlines (PAL) president, Jaime Bautista, told local Philippine media the flag carrier would launch a second destination in Europe this year, following London Heathrow, in addition to the non-stop Cebu-Los Angeles B777 service it will start in March. Read More » PAL will take delivery of two more B777-300ERs this year, as well as five A321s. For future long-haul expansion and replacement, PAL is due to announce an order for six A350s or six B787s by the end of this month.
PAL’s fiercest, Cebu Pacific Air, received its latest A320 last weekend, raising its fleet to 48 aircraft. It expects another A320 delivery this week. Cebu Pacific said 30 domestic departures would be cancelled tomorrow because Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has to be closed while the Japanese Emperor and Empress fly out of Manila at the close of their State visit.
