A 51/49 joint-venture between Malaysian Aerospace and Defence Industries and Lion Air Group, Malindo Air has a fleet of eleven ATR72-600s, ten B737-800s and six B737-900ERs and flies throughout Malaysia and in the region. Its latest launches include Hong Kong, Perth and Amritsar. Media reports have suggested Malindo would launch services to “southern China and the Middle East” later this year. At Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB), the airline has retired its B777-200ER after performing final flights to Amsterdam, Paris and Guangzhou.
