Boeing elects Muilenburg new chairman as McNerney retires

Boeing president and CEO, Dennis Muilenburg, will take on the additional role of board chairman starting March 1, following the retirement of Jim McNerney. Read More » Muilenburg succeeded McNerney as CEO last July, but McNerney remained chairman, a role he has held since 2005.


CASIL appoints COO, senior adviser

China Airport Synergy Investment Limited (CASIL), the investor who successfully bid for the 49.99% stake in Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, today announced the appointment of aviation expert and industry veteran, Tom Wong, as COO. Wong was CEO of SATS Hong Kong and spent 14 years at Cathay Pacific Airways in various commercial, operational and corporate roles.

CASIL also named Chinese academic, Prof Victor Sit, as a senior advisor to the company. Sit was actively involved in the planning of the Hong Kong International Airport and provided advice for the planning and development of nthe airports in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Macau and Hainan.

CASIL is led by CEO Mike Poon, the former chief of China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC).
