Airlines: AirAsia Group is considering establishing a Mainland Chinese subsidiary in partnership with a local state-owned enterprise, Reuters has reported. Read More » Indonesia’s Travira Air has added its maiden B737-800 to its fleet comprising a B737-500, an ATR42-600 and several smaller aircraft. Nepal Airlines has started the process of phasing out its remaining two B757-200s, the Kathmandu Post has reported. EVA Air has tentatively scheduled its last B747-400 long-haul passenger service for March 27 on the Seattle and Vancouver to Taipei routes. The carrier still has three -400s in passenger service.

Routes: Aeroflot will increase frequency on the Moscow-Guangzhou A330-300 route from five-weekly to daily from October 30. Air China will add a second daily A321 flight between Hangzhou and Bangkok from July 5, and it will launch a daily Chongqing-Nha Trang B737-800 service from July 15. All Nippon Airways (ANA) will increase frequency on the Narita-Ho Chi Minh City B767-300ER route from daily to double daily starting October 30, and it will replace the B787-8 with larger -9 variant on its daily Narita-Seattle rotation from the same date. Taiwan’s China Airlines will reduce frequency on the Taoyuan-Suvarnabhumi-Amsterdam A340-300 route from daily to four-weekly from September 5. China Eastern Airlines will add a four-weekly Chengdu-Siem Reap A319 flight beginning July 12. China Southern Airlines will replace the B777-300ER with the B787-8 on the daily Guangzhou-Vancouver service from October 30. Flydubai will launch a double daily B737-800 flight between Dubai and Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi starting November 29. HK Express will increase frequency on the Hong Kong-Takamatsu A320 route from thrice- to four-weekly starting October 30. Jetstar Japan has suspended all flights from Nagoya, Osaka and Narita to Manila. Lion Air has launched a B737-900ER charter route between Guangzhou and Manado, operating every five days. Myanmar Airways International will launch a thrice-weekly Yangon-Mandalay-Suvarnabhumi A319 triangular route September 3. Spring Airlines will launch thrice-weekly A320 services between Guangzhou and Ho Chi Minh City and Siem Reap, respectively, starting September 9. Singapore Airlines will deploy the A350-900 on one of its four daily Singapore-Melbourne rotations from September 1 through to October 22, and it will replace the B777-300ER with the A380 on another of its seven flights a day to Hong Kong from October 23, resulting in double daily A380 service to Hong Kong. United Airlines has launched its new thrice-weekly Hangzhou-San Francisco B787-9 route.
