Hong Kong Airlines appoints former police commissioner as vice chairman

Former Hong Kong police commissioner, Tang King Shing, 62, on Thursday was officially appointed vice-chairman and executive director of Hong Kong Airlines. Read More » The carrier, a subsidiary of China’s HNA Group, said Tang brings “significant expertise and interpersonal network in international management, security strategy and corporate governance” to the airline. Tang will be in charge of the airline’s growth strategies. His appointment is effective immediately. He was Hong Kong’s Commissioner of Police from 2007 to 2011. He was made a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of the People’s Republic of China in 2013.
