Thai Airways International (THAI) has appointed Mrs. Usanee Sangsingkeo as acting president, effective February 10. Read More »

Sangsingkeo, executive vice-president of THAI’s aviation business unit, will replace Charamporn Jotikasthira, who will retire after three years at the top of the Thai flag carrier.


Etihad appoints China GM

Etihad Airways has appointed Germano Rollero as its new general-manager for China, based in Beijing.

Rollero will lead the development of Etihad’s commercial strategy in the Mainland, particularly with a view to further strengthening the airline’s partnerships with travel trade partners and corporate customers.

He reports to Etihad vice-president for the Asia-Pacific and Australia, Lindsay White.

Rollero has more than twelve years experience in senior sales management roles, including tenures at Air China, American Express and Prudential.

Etihad senior vice-president of global sales, Danny Barranger, said: “We are delighted to welcome Germano to the China leadership team at an exciting time for the airline when we are seeing tremendous growth of the tourism and aviation sectors in the region. China is, and will continue to be, one of the most important markets for Etihad Airways globally.”
