ROUTES: Air Madagascar will resume its twice-weekly Antananarivo-Guangzhou A340-300 service starting March 26, operated by former Air France equipment. Read More » Air Seychelles will terminate its weekly Mahe-Beijing A330-200 flight from February 14. China Southern Airlines will launch a four-weekly Guangzhou-Vancouver-Mexico City B787-8 route starting April 10. EVA Air will increase frequency on Taipei-Chicago B777-300ER route from four-weekly to daily from May 29. Garuda Indonesia will switch from a three-class to a two-class B777-300ER on the thrice-weekly Jakarta-Singapore-London route from June 20, presumably because it plans to launch a Los Angeles service with the three-class aircraft instead. Hainan Airlines has added a thrice-weekly Sanya-Suvarnabhumi B737-800 route. Australia’s Jetstar Airways will add a thrice-weekly Sydney-Proserpine A320 flight launching April 4. Kuwait Airways will replace the A330-200 with the B777-300ER on the four-weekly Kuwait-Frankfurt route beginning March 7 and it will launch a four-weekly Kuwait-Karachi A320 route from May 17. NokScoot will increase frequency on the Don Mueang-Taipei B777-200ER route from five-weekly to daily starting March 26. Qatar Airways has replaced the A330-200 with the B787-8 on the four-weekly Doha-Krabi route launching March 28. Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA) will convert its four-weekly Jeddah-Singapore B777-200ER service to a twice-weekly Jeddah-Riyadh-Singapore B777-300ER rotation beginning June 27. Thai Airways International (THAI) will resume double daily Suvarnabhumi-Narita A380 service from March 26 through to June 30 (in lieu of a daily A380 and an A330 service).

MRO: Miami-headquartered AAR has opened a new parts shop at Dubai World Central Airport in a nod to the growing number of carriers in the region. Component suppliers for the new facility include Eaton, UTAS and Unison.
