All Nippon Ariways announces new president and CEO

All Nippon Airways (ANA), a Star Alliance member, on Thursday announced that Osamu Shinobe, its president and CEO, will take up the new position of vice-chairman of the parent organization, ANA HOLDINGS Inc. on April 1. Read More » Shinobe has been credited with the airline’s unprecedented international growth from 2013-2016, as well as consolidating its five-star-airline rating.
Shinobe will be succeeded by Yuji Hirako (59), an ANA executive vice-president and member of the board. Hirako joined the airline in 1981 and has held a range of senior positions in major divisions of the carrier including passenger services at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport, revenue management, finance and accounting and sales and marketing.
