Philippine Airlines moves Caticlan flights to Manila’s Terminal 2
May 19th 2017
Philippine Airlines (PAL) has consolidated its Manila-Caticlan flights at Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s (NAIA’s) Terminal 2, saving hours of transfer time. Read More »
Previously, passengers arriving on international PAL flights were required to change terminals at NAIA. It was an ordeal for travellers because the terminals are not interconnected and traffic serving the two terminals is extremely congested.
PAL operates four daily A320 flights to Caticlan, the gateway to tourist haven, Boracay, following the extension of Caticlan Airport’s runway last year. International arrivals into Caticlan are still not possible, however, as the airport has no immigration facilities.
International visitors typically fly to Kalibo, an hour’s drive from Caticlan. Kalibo has seen an influx of international carriers over the past 18 months, particularly from Greater China, including Xiamen Airlines and China Airlines (CAL).
