LEASING: BOC Aviation Limited has placed five new A320-200 aircraft with Hangzhou-based Loong Air, with all deliveries scheduled for this year.
ROUTES: Air China has reopened reservations for a thrice-weekly Shenzhen-Melbourne A330-200 route, now scheduled to launch June 20. Cambodia Angkor Air will add a fifth weekly ATR 72 frequency between Sihanoukville and Ho Chi Minh City from June 15. Emirates Airline will launch a daily Dubai-Brisbane B777-200LR service on December 1, complementing its existing daily Dubai-Brisbane-Auckland A380 service and daily Dubai-Singapore-Brisbane B777-300ER flight. Etihad Airways plans to operate its last A340-500 service on the Abu Dhabi-Rabat route on July 28. Garuda Indonesia will launch a four-weekly Denpasar-Chengdu A330-300 flight on May 22. KLM will launch a thrice-weekly Mumbai-Amsterdam B787-9 route on October 29; Jet Airways will continue operating a daily B777-300ER on the route. Oman Air has terminated its thrice-weekly Singapore-Muscat A330-300 service. Sichuan Airlines has launched a twice-weekly Harbin-Vladivostok A321 service. SpiceJet will reduce Delhi-Kabul B737-800 frequency from five- to thrice-weekly beginning July 1. Thai Lion Air has added a second daily Don Mueang-Guangzhou B737-900ER rotation. United Airlines will replace the B777-200ER with the smaller B787-8 on the daily Beijing-DC route starting October 28. VietJet Air will launch a daily Hanoi-Yangon A320 route on August 31. Vietnam Airlines will start a thrice-weekly Phu Quoc-Wenzhou A321 route on July 10. West Air will launch a daily Chongqing-Hefei-Osaka A320 route on May 29, as well as a daily Chongqing-Hefei-Sapporo A320 flight from the same date. Xiamen Airlines will reduce Xiamen-Shenzhen-Seattle B787-8 frequency from thrice- to twice-weekly from October 18 through to December 12; it will also reduce Xiamen-Vancouver B787-8 frequency from thrice- to twice-weekly from October 23 through to December 10.
