Thai Lion Air to receive three A330s

In a recruitment poster, Thai Lion Air has said it would take delivery of the three widebodies before year-end.
The airline is expected to deploy the all-economy class A330s on medium-range scheduled services to South Korea, Japan and Northern China. The aircraft will be fitted with 440 seats.
Parent Lion Air operates its three A330s on high-capacity domestic hops from Jakarta to Denpasar, Makassar and Medan, as well as on occasional charter flights.
Thai Lion Air launched in 2014. The carrier now operates 27 aircraft, comprising 17 B737-900ERs and ten B737-800s. It will induct an unspecified number of B737 MAXs from the group’s massive order backlog next year.
Thai Lion operates an extensive Thai domestic network, as well as an extensive network to Mainland China where it flies to Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Hefei, Jinan, Nanchang, Nanjing and Taiyuan.
The Lion Air Group has placed total orders for 720 aircraft, comprising six A330s, 41 A320ceo, 113 A320neo, 65 A321neo, 106 B737-900ERs, 45 B737-800s and 350 B737 MAX series aircraft.
