Finnair to launch Nanjing route

Finnair is continuing its expansion into China’s secondary cities. Read More » From May 13 next year, the oneworld member will launch a three times a week Helsinki-Nanjing A330-300 flights, a service that will be reduced to twice a week during the winter schedule that will start on October 29.
Nanjing will be Finnair’s sixth route to China, following Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing and Xian. The airline also operates ten times a week to Hong Kong. The Finnish flag carrier plans to increase capacity by 14% in summer 2018, made possible by additional A350 deliveries.
From next summer, the airline will increase frequency on Helsinki-Tokyo/Narita from eleven a week to twice daily and also add frequency on Helsinki-Bangkok. Finnair has eight A330-300s and ten A350-900s serving Asia. It has nine more A350s on order with all deliveries due by 2023.
