Chongqing Airlines to add seven A320neo in 2018

Chongqing Airlines, one of China’s lesser known carriers, will lease and induct seven A320neo aircraft this year that will expand its fleet by more than 50%. Read More » The airline will lease the aircraft from Singapore-based BOC Aviation.
“We are pleased to welcome Chongqing Airlines as a new airline customer, and to support the growth in its fleet as we deliver the first of its new technology A320neo aircraft,” said BOC Aviation CEO and managing director, Robert Martin.
Chongqing Airlines operates 14 A320ceo and 5 A319s. Launched in 2007, Chongqing Airlines is jointly owned by China Southern Airlines (60%) and the Chongqing Municipal Development & Investment Company (40%).
The carrier primarily operates domestic flights from Chongqing, but in recent years has begun to expand with flights to Thailand and Vietnam, including a four-weekly rotation to Hanoi.
