THAI names new president

The Thai Airways International (THAI) board of directors, chaired by acting board chairman, air chief marshal Treetod Sonjance, this week named Sumeth Damrongchaitham as its new president. Read More »
THAI said it was negotiating Sumeth’s renumeration and benefits package and would provide details, including the commencement of his leadership at THAI, at a later date.
Sumeth will take over from THAI acting president, Usanee Sangsingkeo, who plans to retire in September. Usanee has been interim president since February 2017, when former president, Charamporn Jotikasthira, completed his three-year contract at the carrier. Sumeth does not have a background in aviation.
