Qatar Airways accelerates Qsuite rollout on Asian routes

Qatar Airways is pushing the rollout of its Qsuite business class product on routes to the Asia-Pacific. Read More » Following the launch of the product on routes to Shanghai, Sydney and Canberra, the airline this week introduced Qsuite on B777-300ER flights to Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, said: “Since its launch, Qsuite has received tremendous attention globally, and we are delighted to introduce this revolutionary product on our Mumbai and Bengaluru routes. With Qsuite, Qatar Airways has transformed premium travel by bringing a First Class experience to the Business Class cabin.”

Patented by Qatar Airways, Qsuite features the industry’s first-ever double bed available in business class, as well as private cabins for up to four people with privacy panels that stow away, allowing passengers in adjoining seats to create their own private room. Adjustable panels and movable TV monitors on the centre four seats allow colleagues, friends or families travelling together to transform their space into a private suite, allowing them to work, dine and socialise together.

The product is currently available on select Qatar Airways B777-300ERs, A350-900s and its two A350-1000s. Globally, the product is available on flights to London’s Heathrow, Frankfurt, Paris, New York, Chicago and Houston. The airline displayed a -1000 and a -300ER featuring Qsuite in Farnborough this week. Qatar Airways also displayed for the first time its B747-8 Freighter, Qatar Executive’s Gulfstream G500 jet and the JetSuiteX Embraer 135 jet, as well as an Air Italy B737 MAX 8.

Qatar Airways now serves more than 150 destinations with a fleet of more than 200 aircraft. In the Asia-Pacific, the oneworld member recently announced the addition of flights to Langkawi and Da Nang.

In June, its Air Italy subsidiary launched its first long-haul route from New York's JFK airport to Milan's Malpensa airport and a nonstop flight between Milan and Miami. Flights to Bangkok, Delhi and Mumbai will be launched in the coming months. Air Italy also recently inaugurated short-haul routes connecting Milan to Rome, Naples, Palermo and Olbia.
