Garuda Indonesia axes Heathrow service

Read More » The state-controlled airline launched Jakarta-Amsterdam-London in September 2014, initially to Gatwick Airport, before switching to London Heathrow in April 2016. Jakarta-London is Garuda’s only route offering a first class cabin service.
Garuda will retain its valuable slots at Heathrow Airport and is potentially looking to relaunch flights in 2019. In the interim, the airline will continue to serve Amsterdam six times a week.
Flightglobal reported that Garuda will use the -300ERs on routes connecting Jakarta and Tokyo Haneda, as well as Bali and Melbourne.
