China Eastern signs training deal with HAITE, adds non-stop flights to Dubai

Under the agreement, HAITE Singapore will develop and conduct A320 and B737 training programmes for current and future China Eastern pilots at its Singapore campus, the largest independent pilot training centre in the city state. HAITE Singapore plans to install an A320neo flight simulator by January 2019 and a B737 MAX flight simulator by January 2020.
“We’re delighted at this opportunity to share our expertise with CEA and to cater to the aviation industry’s growing demand for trained pilots worldwide. As we continue to expand our business footprint in Asia, we hope to make our facility a training centre of choice in the region,” said HAITE general manager and director of training, Peh Teng Keng.
In other China Eastern updates, the SkyTeam member this week inaugurated thrice-weekly Shanghai-Dubai A330 non-stop flights, complementing its existing three a week Shanghai-Kunming-Dubai B737 triangular flights. The airline and Dubai Airports held an event at Dubai International on Monday evening which was presided over by executive vice president of Dubai Airports' Commercial Group, Eugene Barry, as well as China Eastern general manager for the UAE, Randy Cui.
