Dublin-headquartered aircraft lessor, Avolon, has confirmed an order for 75 A320neo and 25 A321neo. The agreement is the single largest Airbus order placed by Avolon and takes the lessor’s cumulative orders with Airbus to 240 single aisle and 44 wide body aircraft. Read More »

Avolon is 70%-owned by Bohai Leasing, an HNA Group affiliate, with the remainder held by Japan’s Orix Corp.

“We continue to see robust demand from our customers for the A320neo family globally. This is consistent with our own market research and global fleet forecast. This order affirms our belief in the medium-term market outlook and the strong growth prospects for our business and our shareholders,” said Avolon CEO, Dómhnal Slattery.

Separately, Singapore-based BOC Aviation this week ordered three more B777-300ERs destined for an undisclosed operator in 2020. The aircraft will be among the last -300ERs produced as Boeing transitions to the 777X series.

BOC Aviation manages 20 -300ERs on lease to Air Canada, Air China, Cathay Pacific Airways, EVA Air, Thai Airways International, Turkish Airlines and Qatar Airways.

BOC Aviation turned 25 last month. The lessor was founded as Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise Pte. Ltd. on November 25, 1993.
