Jet Airways agrees to extensive codeshare deal with LCC flynas

Under the agreement, Jet will place its ‘9W’ designator on flynas flights between the gateway cities of Dammam, Jeddah and Riyadh, thus giving passengers the option to arrive and depart from different cities in the KSA. Furthermore, Jet will also place its code on flynas domestic routes from Dammam, Jeddah and Riyadh to Medina, Gizan, Taif and Abha.
In turn, flynas will add its ‘XY’ designator on Jet international flights connecting Jeddah to Mumbai, Riyadh to Mumbai and Delhi, as well as Dammam to Mumbai and Delhi. In addition the KSA LCC will also place its code on certain Jet Airways domestic services, i.e. Mumbai to Delhi, Kochi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Lucknow, as well as Delhi to Bengaluru, Lucknow, Chennai, and Kochi.
“Saudi Arabia is the second largest international travel market to/from India with almost 6 million passengers travelling between both countries annually for religious tourism, business as well as leisure,” said Jet executive vice president commercial, Marnix Fruitema.
