GDS: Japan Airlines (JAL) and Travelport Worldwide have formed a joint venture by taking ownership of Travelport Japan K.K. and JAL’s 100%-owned subsidiary, Axess International Network. LEASING: Technical management and aircraft remarketing company, AMS Aircraft Services, has announced on behalf of the asset manager, that it has inducted three recently delivered B787-9s leased to Etihad Airways into its CALM program. CALM offers a leased aircraft management program for banks, investors and lessors where an in-house technical team would not be economically efficient, said CEO, Mike Skinner.

TRAINING: Alpha Aviation Academy (AAA), a leading global provider of the Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL), is to expand to Australia in a partnership with Airways Aviation. Cadets from AAA’s UAE academy will do three months of their core flying phase of the MPL at the Airways Aviation flight school in coast Queensland.
