AirAsia has launched a four times a week Kuala Lumpur-Lanzhou service and daily flights between the Malaysian capital and Quanzhou, which increases the LCC's network in China to 24 destinations. Read More » Cathay Pacific Airways will suspend its Hong Kong-Cairns service from October 27. China Eastern Airlines have commenced flying from Weihai to Cheongju and Daegu in Korea at the first of the month with A320s.

China Southern Airlines will commence flying from Guangzhou to Changsha and Nairobi in late June with A330-200s.LCC

Delta Air Lines will resume non-stop New York-Mumbai on Christmas Eve, a decade after it departed the route, with upgraded 777-200LRs.

Jetstar Japan will start flying daily between Narita and Shona in Tohoku province on August 1 with A320s.

Scoot will remove Lucknow (June 29), Kalibo (June 30), Quanzhou (August 24) and Male (October 25) from its network due to “weak demand” and “a shortage of aircraft resources” caused by the 737MAX grounding. The sister carrier to Scoot intended to transfer its 737-800NGs to Scoot but has had to change plans after its six 737MAXs were grounded. The regional carrier also commenced flying between Singapore and Busan from May 2.
