Virgin Australia makes management changes

New Virgin Australia CEO Paul Scurrah is continuing with initial changes. Virgin announced that Group Executive Rob Sharp will depart 10 May after seven years at Virgin Australia, including a period running Tigerair Australia.
Sharp’s position will be split into two roles. Current Tigerair CEO Merren McArthur will be acting CCO. Virgin director of flight operations Stuart Aggs will be acting COO. Virgin intends to recruit permanent appointments.
Virgin last week announced a deferral of 737 MAX aircraft in order to reduce capital expenditure.
