Lessor CDB Aviation builds Asia-Pacific team

Sign Kadouh, who has been CDB Aviation senior vice president commercial based in Hong Kong since February 2017 is the lessor’s new head of commercial Asia-Pacific, the Irish subsidiary of China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co. Ltd announced this week. Read More »

The lessor also named Nick Seah as head of the company’s commercial activities in Greater China and North Asia. Seah has more than two decades of experience in airline leasing, sales and corporate finance across the region.

“We are bringing our newly established global platform back to China to re-energise our presence,” CDB Aviation CEO, Peter Chang said. “China is where our roots and foundations are and where we hold unique relationships with its airlines.”


Lessor Truenoord opens Asia-Pacific office

European headquartered regional lessor, Truehoord, has chosen Singapore for its first representative office in the region and appointed the company’s sales director Asia-Pacific, Carst Lindeboom, as chief representative. Lindeboom had previously served the region from Amsterdam.

Truenoord has placed E190s with Mandarin Airlines and Air Astana, leased four new ATR-600s to Wings Air Indonesia and five of the type to Indian LCC IndiGo. The company is solely focused on leasing regional aircraft to airlines worldwide.


Pratt & Whitney Canada appoints female president

Effective 1, Maria Della Posta will succeed John Saabas as president of Pratt & Whitney Canada. She will report directly to Pratt & Whitney president, Bob Leduc.

A commerce graduate and an MBA from McGill University in Montreal, Della Posta joined the aerospace OEM in 1985.

She became vice president customer support in 2001, senior vice president marketing and sales in 2010 and senior vice president Pratt & Whitney Canada two years later. The Canadian company is a division of global aerospace conglomerate, United Technologies Corp, headquartered in Connecticut.
