LEASING: China Construction Bank and LCC, Norwegian Air, have established a joint venture leasing company. The Chinese bank, which will have a 70% equity in the leasing company, will purchase 27 A320neo the LCC has committed to buy from 2020 to 2023. Norwegian will look to transfer more planes to the joint venture, it has been reported.
ROUTES: All Nippon Airways (ANA) will launch its first destination in Russia from March 16 next year, twice a week from Tokyo Narita to Vladivostok, as part of ANA’s strategy to connect Eurasia with the Pacific. Next January, Juneyao Airlines will commence Shanghai Pudong to Yonago twice a week with an A320. Air India has revised its planned Mumbai-Hong Kong route to daily from December 21. Tomorrow Chengdu Airlines will begin Harbin – Vladivostok twice a week. Jetstar Asia will operate Singapore – Hefei three times a week from November 26. Qatar Airways plans to increase in this week’s schedule update plans capacity increase for Doha – Adelaide daily from March 2020. Air China will resume Chongqing – Tokyo Narita, previously served until October 2003, daily from November 24. Cambodia Angkor Air, in the first quarter of 2020, plans to offer twice a week Phnom Penh – Hangzhou, subject to government approval, with A320s. Malindo Air plans to operate Kuala Lumpur – Da Nang from November 1. Sichuan Airlines plans to add three routes between Dayong and Korea, including flights to Cheongju, Daegu and Muan with A321s.
