Starlux’s KW Chang flies home first aircraft for new carrier

Taiwanese start-up, Starlux, has received its first aircraft, an A321neo. Starlux founder and former EVA Airways chairman, KW Chang, became a licensed A320 family pilot and flew the first aircraft to Taipei. At EVA, he flew the company’s 777.

Starlux expects to receive two more aircraft before it commences flights in January 2020. This launch fleet of three aircraft is part of an initial deal for 10 A321neo aircraft from lessor GECAS. Starlux’s first routes will be from Taipei Taoyuan to Da Nang, Macau and Penang.
